The Glowworm combination boilers and water heaters use a rubber diaphragm to activate the domestic hot water by diverting the primary water circuit towards the plate heat exchanger. This supplies hot water to the taps or perhaps shower. One side on the diaphragm is subject to indirect heat via the hot water in the primary circuit flowing through the hydraulic set up. This design is common in combination boilers and other water heating appliances. In case a diaphragm has failed the boiler it will not switch easily between delivering water to the hot taps and providing central heating. In this instance it will need exchanging. Many heating engineers will recommend exchanging the entire hydraulic section assembly. This isn't necessary as the boiler manufacturer more often than not supply the specific part and the unit will function properly after the diaphragm is replaced., Glowworm Diaphragms Are Available Next Day
